LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) is language training offered to promote integration, settlement and self-sufficiency in Canada and is offered at both Sacred Heart School and St. Francis of Assisi School.

  • Full time classes (4 sessions per year with approximately 60-90 students per session)
  • 6 levels of instruction (Literacy,LINC 1, LINC 1+, LINC 2, LINC 3 and LINC 4)
  • LINC 5 is available at Sacred Heart only
  • Part-time evening classes (3 sessions per year with approximately 40-60 students per session)
  • Computer assisted language learning
  • Free child minding for children 19 months - 5 years old during the day
  • Student Advisor on site
  • Funded by the Federal Government
  • Canadian Citizens, Visitors and those under 18 years of age are not eligible for LINC programs
